Does usps deliver on sundayUpdated 5 days ago

Need to know if USPS delivers on Sundays? The answer isn’t a simple yes or no—it depends on what you’re sending or expecting. While regular letters and most packages don’t arrive on Sundays, certain services like Priority Mail Express and many Amazon deliveries do. In this blog, we’ll explain exactly which types of mail are delivered on Sundays and when you can expect your package to show up.

USPS delivers on Sundays for two main types of shipments

  1. Priority Mail Express: This is the fastest domestic service offered by USPS and delivers 7 days a week, including Sundays in many locations. There is an additional charge of $12.50 for guaranteed Sunday or holiday delivery with Priority Mail Express.
  2. Amazon Packages: Due to a special agreement between Amazon and USPS, many Amazon packages are delivered on Sundays, especially in urban and high-volume areas.

For most other mail classes, like First-Class Mail, Priority Mail (non-express), and USPS Ground Advantage, regular delivery does not typically occur on Sundays.

In short, while not a standard day for all deliveries, if your package is either Priority Mail Express or an Amazon order, there's a good chance it will arrive on Sunday.
